The Monarch Butterfly

Monarch butterflies are the most beautiful of all butterflies, some say, and are considered the “king” of the butterflies, hence the name “monarch”. It is a small insect weighing no more than two grams that travels more than four thousand kilometers approximately from Canada to the Oyamel forests in eastern Michoacán to spend their winter in their southern home and travel back to the beginning of spring.
