Monarch butterflies are the most beautiful of all butterflies, some say, and are considered the “king” of the butterflies, hence the name “monarch”. It is a small insect weighing no more than two grams that travels more than four thousand kilometers approximately from Canada to the Oyamel forests in eastern Michoacán to spend their winter in their southern home and travel back to the beginning of spring.
A wonder of nature that happens in our Estate and was designated as one of UNESCO’s Natural Heritage Sites of Humanity.
On our tour we will visit the sanctuary of “El Rosario”, doing a 1.5 km hike in ascent, where besides visiting the butterfly, you will fall in love with our forests. We will have a time of contemplation of the phenomenon of the butterfly of 45 min and we will return to the base of the mountain for lunch time, and finally we will return to Morelia.
Exit: Shared Exit of Morelia at 09:00 hrs, return at 18:00 hrs approximately.
