The old Valladolid, today Morelia is a colonial city, cradle of brave men who forged our nation being the ideological cradle of the independence of Mexico. Morelia is a unique city with a characteristic baroque and its cathedral with tall towers that keeps several jewels inside.

We start our tour visiting the Cathedral, then we continue to the Government Palace to learn about its uses through history and its murals by the great Master muralist from Michoacán, Alfredo Zalce. The first conservatory of music in Latin America that until nowadays is still working as a school, and the church of las Rosas are the next places to visit. We would be walking through the beautiful streets of downtown enjoying the view. The museum Palacio Clavijero current cultural center and ancient Jesuits College, the School of San Nicolas with its murals, the place where our National Heroes studied like Morelos and Miguel Hidalgo are very important sites that we cannot miss in our walking tour. We cross the main square of the city named “Plaza de Armas” and we will reach the house where Morelos was born, a museum where we can learn more about this hero of the nation.
