The work of evangelization of the religious orders in Michoacán is palpable in the convents that they erected, all of them of different style and with very particular characteristics. We will visit Cuitzeo with its Churrigueresque style temple and former convent restored with fresco painting inside. We continue our tour to Charo with its former convent of sober baroque style but with the jewel of its patio in the former convent, we are going to see a representation of the genealogical tree of the Augustinians order paint as well as murals that represent passages of the life of Christ. We continue our journey to Tarimbaro, a town known for its festivity of the “Torito de petate (A bull figure made of paper and natural fibers), the production of Pulque as well as its former Augustinian convent. A journey where we could understand the evangelization of the Purépecha Empire.
