The Purépecha Empire settled in a suitable place for the expansion of its power to be near lakes, the most important Lake for them and us is Patzcuaro; where we can find five islands of which we will visit Janitzio and Yunuén with its cobblestone streets and crafts, until we reach the monument of Morelos.
We will visit two of the most important archeological zones of our Purépecha Empire, being the first Ihuatzio or place of trapezoidal coyotes or truncated pyramid with its road of the dead and ball game. We continue to Tzintzuntzan, place of hummingbirds, capital of the Empire to visit the archaeological zone or Yácatas in a semicircular way and with a panoramic view of the Patzcuaro Lake. We ended up visiting the former Franciscan convent, the centenary olive tree atrium and its open chapel.
