This is a tour to visit the most emblematic small towns of our region.

The first place we visit is Quiroga, where you can taste the delicious “Carnitas” a traditional meal of that region (pork meat fried served with tortillas). We continue to Tzintzuntzan, which was the first capital of Michoacán being the ancient base of the Purépecha Empire, now a Magical Town, where we will visit its former convent, its Franciscan temple of the XVII century and its atrium that has olive trees of more than 400 years old, where the tradition says were planted by Tabasco.

We continue our trip to the lake of Patzcuaro where we will take a small boat to visit the island of Janitzio, famous for its fishermen and its monument dedicated to José Maria Morelos y Pavón, a National Hero and beginner of the independence of Mexico. After returning from the island, we will move to Patzcuaro Magical Town, where we will have a time to eat and then we will walk through the cobbled streets, we could visit some different interested sites, the famous Don Vasco Square, we will walk to the House of the Once Patios where their master craftsmen will wait for you to show their art, we will have time to shop and continue to El Sagrario, a lovely ancient church to take the most emblematic photo of Patzcuaro. The tour continues to the Basilica of “La Virgen de la Salud”, passing by the Jesuit church and the Museum of Popular Arts. Finally we return to the main square and start our return to Morelia.
